Christopher K. Morgan & Artists presents three acclaimed dance works all accompanied by live music. Excerpts of P?haku open and close the program, incorporating storytelling, ancient hula, and modern dance to explore the story of Hawaii’s native people, land loss, and fractured identity. Also on the program are Morgan’s 2014 works In the Cold Room and Bruised. All works feature original scores performed live by electric cellist Wytold, with the addition of live Hawaiian chant and percussion by Mel Enos for P?haku.
Free general admission tickets will be distributed in the Hall of States starting at approximately 5 p.m., up to two tickets per person.
